No MRI machine in Pindi hospitals

Allied hospitals, managed by Health Department, Punjab, are operating without the facility of MRI test leading to difficulties for the patients. Sources said that the patients are sent to expensive private medical laboratories for MRI tests. According to sources, the children ward would be constructed on a plot on the backside of new emergency ward and the Punjab government has released funds for the project.The new ward would contain 32 beds initially but it would be extended to 100 beds ward later after getting more funds from the provincial government, the sources said, adding the ward would be completed till July next year and functional from August 1, 2013.
