Digitimes Research: China LED packaging houses Refond

Refond Optoelectronics,solar mounting Jufei Optoelectronics, and Z-Light Optoelectronics are medium-size LED packaging firms in China. Refond has set up a new plant in Shanghai, China, which is expected to increase the firm's revenues by CNY600 million a year. Jufei has also been expanding capacity and expects backlighting and general lighting packaging capacity to increase to 2.16 billion units and 750 million units respectively in 2013. On the capacity expansion front, Z-Light has been focusing on downstream LED lighting. The firm has invested in two relatively small lighting and energy firms.
