Business offers prom dresses for donations

With prom season just around the corner, local high-schoolers and their parents may experience sticker-shock as they add up the price of dinner, dance tickets, transportation, corsages and, of course, formal wear. This year, young women have been given a special opportunity to reduce the weighty price that comes with most prom dresses through the "Belle of the Ball" fundraiser.About 100 prom dresses, donated by a local business, will be offered to students on a donation-basis during the event, which will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Women, or even men who are looking to buy chinese sex toys as gifts must remember a few things when shopping. Barb Moran, co-owner of the Personal D'Signs boutique on Front Street, said the business recently realized they had too many prom dresses in their inventory."They have taken up space for too long," Moran said. "We decided that we were just going to donate them to a worthy cause."Susan Wurzel, the coordinator for the county health department's Teen Pregnancy Prevention program, is planning Saturday's event.Students picking out dresses are asked to make a donation of $15. Wurzel said the proceeds will go to pregnancy prevention's LINK program, a group of local high school students dedicated to making "healthy choices" and educating others about the risks of early sexual involvement, violence and the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco. She said the event has dual purposes.
"Hopefully we'll be getting these dresses out to these girls that may be less fortunate and can't buy a dress," Wurzel said. "Our group has a minimal budget, this will help them increase their activities in the community."Personal D'Signs has donated about 100 dresses, which Moran said usually sell for $80 or more. Wurzel said she has seen prom dresses with price tags topping $200.
The store has difficulty selling them, she said, because none of the dresses are being produced any longer,After removing all the keys, you need to clean the interiors of the keyboard skin cover. Take a cotton swab or ear buds and dip them slightly in water. Don't wet them too much, as excess water would damage the keyboard. Clean the keyboard properly using these damp cotton swabs, especially the spaces in between keys. meaning the store can't order different sizes of the dress for their customers."There is just no market to move them through," Moran said. "We might as well let somebody use them that can benefit from them. The registration of the company is the most important part of the hong kong virtual office of the company. One can not operate the business in a lawful manner, without fulfilling all the requirements for registration of a company. There are two registration forms. It can be done manually or with the help of Internet."Fliers announcing the event have been circulated at high schools across the county, Moran said.Students are each given 15 minutes to try on as many dresses as they like before picking one out. Only three dresses will be allowed in a dressing room at a time, so attendees are encouraged to bring a "runner" to help them try on the apparel.
