"I'll be able to work in the European Union countries," Roig said. "I'm going to buy a one-way ticket and hope for the best and see if it works out. I'll take a chance on London."One exciting aspect of Roig's internship was being in town for the world's biggest sporting event-the Olympics. Roig didn't attend many Olympic events in the summer, but she did participate in Michelle Obama's campaign promoting exercise and fighting childhood obesity. Roig and other embassy staff worked with children at the event stations. They spent the day working out and exercising. Other celebrities at the event included Nastia Liukin, Apolo Ohno and David Beckham.

Roig said she is grateful for Texas State and the teachers who mentored and encouraged her ideas."She talked to me about her future plans,Creminelli Fine Meats is an award-winning Utah-based company that is internationally recognized for whisky stones and there are few things more delightful than a thinly sliced piece of meat that bursts with flavor. about going to grad school, and going on an internship," said Brian Cooper, geography senior lecturer. They're often a little more mature, and they're willing to embark on these new experiences and go places they haven't been before." Roig said if students want to study abroad or have a crazy career idea, they should boldly pursue it."If there's something holding you back, whether you're scared or (concerned about) finances, find a way to do it, because if your goals don't scare you they are not big enough," Roig said. "They may be scary, but if you go, you'll learn stuff you'd never have known before."
